Park cannot turn Key in overtime

Key School surrendered a late three-pointer in the fourth quarter of its MIAA C Conference basketball contest with visiting Park, on Thursday, forcing overtime. In the extra session, however, the Obezags outscored the Bruins 13-3 to prevail.

The victory keeps Key (9-7, 5-2) within one game, in the loss of column, of second place Beth Tfiloh in the C Conference.

Alex DeMarco led the Obezags with 16 points and Chris Fusco added 11 points and 10 rebounds. Harrison Barton also had 10 rebounds to go with eight points.

In addition, Kai Pinkney came off the bench late, giving Key some scoring punch and rebounding late in the fourth quarter and through overtime.

Avery Gerlad was the high scorer for Park, with nine points. The Bruins (10-9, 4-5) remain in fourth place in the conference, as the fight to maintain post-season positioning.
