O'Connell making his mark in senior year at Hopkins
2/6/2010
Johns Hopkins senior Pat O'Connell, a graduate of Loyola Blakefield, scored a season-high 20 points earlier this week, as the Blue Jays defeated Gettysburg, 72-65.
O'Connell and fellow senior Andrew Faber-Miller combined for 15 points in a 26-11 Hopkins run, which erased a 21-8 Gettysburg lead.
It was the fourth time this year O'Connell scored 20 points. He also dished out three assists and had two steals. His three assists push him into 12th place in school history, while his steals give him 161 for his career and leave him 20 shy of tying the program's all-time record.
O'Connell is a four-year starter, having started more than 100 games for Hopkins in his career.
