Korvin scores five as Spalding rolls, 11-1

With three straight road games looming, including trips to St. Paul's and Calvert Hall next week, Archbishop Spalding maintained its one game lead over St. Mary's in the the Red Division battle for second place, with an 11-1 rout of Mount St. Joseph, Friday in Severna Park.
Junior Wade Korvin was the offensive star for the Cavaliers as he powered in five goals and added an assist. Spalding (9-5, 6-2) led 2-1 after on quarter and 4-1 at the half. The Cavs then added four scores in the third and three more in the fourth.
Senior Billy Binder scored twice and Luke Dick had a goal and two assists. Matt Franchak, Brian Cooper and Taylor Smith also scored for Spalding.
