Gilman/DeMatha is a go

The heavyweight football showdown between DeMatha,
the state's top ranked team, and Gilman, the #4 squad,
will be played today's at Gilman's Brown Field, after being
postponed last night.
The Stags and Greyhounds had been scheduled to play
under the lights at Cardinal Gibbons, but the field was
under water, forcing a postponement until today.
Last night there were serious concerns that the game
could be played today, as Gilman's field was also
saturated from the heavy rain which settled over Baltimore
for most of Friday. Fortunately for area football fans, the
rains have departed and the field has been deemed
playable.
Gilman's football field is natural grass so it will be a slow
track for two teams which feature a great deal of speed.
Gilman does have a turf field on its campus, but it is not
setup for football.
